help figuring out how to change documents to pdf to make an ebook. best sites to use?

Posted Saturday, February 14, 2009 by admin

I want to change documents to pdf’s for an ebook. What’s the best program (and cheapest) and do I need a website to be able to sell the ebook on eBay. I found many websites offering free programs to change the documents to pdf but in my life nothing is free. The I found webfile websites offering storage of files/ebooks. How reliable are these and are they really free? Has anyone esle done this. I really need guidance. I’m normally very good with computers and the internet but this one has me stumped…plus I want to get away with not paying Adobe a fortune when I’m just starting out. Thank you

    Hello.

Here are two options for you. The first is . Great software and best of all it’s FREE! No ads on each page like some programs have to promote their software.

You can buy a Product Key for $9.95, but don’t bother. The only thing it gives you is access to tech support. I’ve used it for 3 years and never needed it. It’s very easy to use and has lot’s of great features.

The next thing is . It is a FREE! Word style program (works with any Word doc). It has a PDF converter built in. It also works great.

As for as selling on eBay, I would suggest you get your own website. I’ve never used any of the free sites, so I can’t tell you how well they work. One site that I know the free things work well on is Bravenet. Here is a link for them:
Click on the Free webhosting and Domains.

The amount of space is small, but if you only have one ebook under 50mb, it will do for you. (make sure you zip it, so it is smaller.)

With you own website, you can send a download link to your buyers. You can send it as an email attachment, but you’ll run into lot’s of problems. Emails not going though, people with full inbox’s, etc. You’re better off going with a download link. Plus you can set up your eBay ad as a digital download and the link will be sent automaticly to your buyers.

Hope this helps you some. If you have more questions, you can contact me though my eBay store and I’ll be glad to help you.

    Best wishes to you,
    Robbie
