Refrain from skipping 20 pages a second, read the first page and skim it through, skip a section or two if you’d like but just read the tops ( they usually overview what is going on ).

I can’t tell what is the best way to read a book, but I can tell my way of reading books, ok do you like somebody to read a book for you and you just listen to him or her? If yes then try to find a good TEXT TO SPEECH software a good means that has an ability to convert a text to Audio file not just read them (like MP3 or WMA),and burn them to a cd , you can convert few pages at one time, after you finish burning use your MP3 or any audio player to hear the book while you are walking the dog out side :-) .and you can give it to friends .
I’m using Speakonia program its free but the voice quality is not that good but the female voice is not bad(you have many voices to choose from and change the speed too)
