How does the Sony PRS series ebook reader perform on pdf file?

Recently I’ve been doing some reading and researches on the Sony PRS-505 and PRS-700 ebook reader device. The main reason I’d want to get an ebook reader is I can fit all my computer programming related ebooks into the device, carry around and read them when I travel. Because the majority of my ebooks are in pdf format, my biggest concern now is how well does the device perform on displaying the pdf files (page turning and content zooming), as well as the text size / image rendering on the 6″ display (is it readable without the need to zoom in?).
I’ve also looked into Kindle and IRex readers. The reasons I chose Sony are its pdf support, specifications and price.

The latest sony reader PRS-700BC is by far the best ebook reader to handle PDF. It has an enhanced processing speed when compared to the older model, sony PRS-505. Thus it has much faster page turning and zooming, no matter for image or PDF. You can adjust the text size for text-based PDF and it is fast too.
There are more details in the two reviews below from actual customer of Sony PRS-700PRS on Amazon, they tell quite a lot about PDF handling from their own experience:
Hope it helps.
