    so far the only way to do so is fairly complicated. it involves jailbreaking your ipod touch, downloading a pdf viewer, and then getting your ebook online, because you can’t transfer your ebooks directly to the ipod.

    in contrast, the ipod classic and nano can read notes. this would involve converting your ebook into ipod format on websites such as :
