Pda vs ebook reader?

Ok I have been researching ebook readers. The know name brand ones are to expensive, (Amazon,Sony). There is a cheaper one it’s a ebookwise reader. However. I was thinking if I get a Pda that can store picture and does all that other stuff. Which is better?
If Pda which one is the best for my needs?
Get the E book reader then you can program my books into it. Hope you like sci-fi, myster, adventure and ghost stories cause that what I write. LOL.
