How/Where to Publish an Ebook?
Posted Thursday, March 11, 2010 by admin
I’ve been thinking about publishing my manuscripts via the ebook market a lot lately. I don’t have a clue where or how to begin though. How long does an ebook need to be? How does the process work and what’s a good company to work with?

Check out. This site is new. It does not publish every manuscript for which it receives a query. There are others that have no requirements. Search on WorthyofPublishing.
Legitimate e-publishers are comparable to traditional print publishers. You submit a query letter to them giving a synopsis of your work, how many pages, the genre, and you writing /publishing credits. If they are interested in your work then they will ask you to submit your manuscript. If they wish to e-publish your work then they will offer you a contract.
Most of the e-books I have read are short stories, novellettes or novellas. If you have a full length manuscript you wish to have e-published then you have to find those types of e-publishers.
Most of the e-publishers that I know of are in the romance genre. They are romantic fiction, inspirational romance, paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance and gothic romance. Check out Cerridwen Press or Echelon Press to see what the submission guidelines are like and then go from there.
But just like with print publishing you need to research the company that represents your genre.
