Not easily. Kindle has it’s own book format so you would need a conversion program to convert PDF files to kindle.

You could consider getting a standard palm PDA device and loading adobe reader on that though.

Something like the Visor Platinum would work good (monochrome screen but good size, readable and cheap):=

Or any other palm PDA listed here:=

    Of course it can.

Sure. There is an official document here on how to transfer adobe pdf ebooks to the Amazon Kindle:

BTW, I remember I read these reviews when I decided to get my Kindle device:

Finally, Amazon has just put a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it is now selling $100 cheaper than the price I got my Kindle, and it adds in international wireless access… So take the chance if you want it.

    Hope it helps :)

Yes, the Amazon Kindle can read PDF ebooks.

You may be interested in this review as well, which is written by a top reviewer and book lover. It outlines quite a lot of benefits about the Kindle device:

BTW, there are some website like this one, where you can find more than 20,000 free books for the Kindle. So no need to go to library to borrow them, you can actually own them:

    Hope this helps.

Wow, what a load of BS answers.
The olny kindle that can read PDFs is the Kindle dx

  • Natural said on Mar 25th, 2010 at 7:45 PM:

Both the Kindle 2 and the Kindle DX can read PDF. For the Kindle 2, it needs conversion so it may not work well for complicated PDF with charts and tables. Unless you need to read complex PDF files, otherwise the Kindle 2 is good enough to stay with.

Read here, it is the best review I’ve ever read about the Kindle device:
