Ebook program

I’m trying to find a Free copy of a ‘Douglas Adams’ book from 1987. Doc, Html, Lit, or PDF; any text format, not audio.

I have downloaded 20 torrents, and each one is missing the last half of the book. Each file cuts off after page 177. Except on one of these files, I can use the mouse-wheel and read upto page 188. But I’m stilling missing ~15 chapters.

It’s very frustrating and I’d like to finish the book without getting it from the library. Any idea where to find free EBooks?

I’m self-publishing my new book about to be published shortly through LightningSource. Here’s my dilemma as a self-published, self-marketing author:

1. Do I leave fulfillment to LightningSource/Amazon who will charge me 55% right off the top, leaving me with much smaller margins (the cost of the book will come from my share, the remaining 45%) and focus on just marketing the book? If I take this route, then I can’t do much for affiliates and Joint Venture partners, but reduces a lot of S&H overhead.

2. Do I do the fulfillment myself, selling the book for lower than Amazon, worrying about shipping and handling (especially international shipments, refunds, etc)? This approach will give help me pay decent amounts to affiliates, JV partners and bulk resellers, but increases my order- processing overhead.

What do you think?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The other problem with selling on Amazon is that Amazon will not share the buyer’s contact info with you (unless I’m wrong?).

So, I’m trying to figure out what’s the best way to market on Amazon, as well as on my web site – but the major problem of doing it on my web site is figuring out the shipping price for international buyers.

Hi. I’ve been given the opportunity to ghost write an ebook (about 100 pages), but I’ve never ghost written an ebook before, so I don’t know what to charge. What’s the typical rates for ghost writers?

I need a program to download to turn my paper book into a ebook?
the book “I” wrote 15 years ago and is typed onto paper. I am going to use my OCL to scan each page and upload to microsoft word. So I need a good program that will work with the ocr…any other help offered is welcome as to how to publish I am looking for is a good program to download so I can upload my paper book into ebook. My plans is to see if a publisher is interested. I wasn’t given the opportunity before since it’s 800+ pages, so I had to xerox all the pages X3 so I could mail the manuscript to the publishers which was very costly in postage and then there was the wait. Ebooks make things so much easier. So I will turn my paper book into a ebook and need to download that program “a ebook maker”

i have been reading things on how to win back your ex and many people seem to think this is a great method. i was just wondering if anyone has heard or used it and what they may think of it.

i saw the movie and absolutely loved it and im interested in reading the book.

i dont have time to run to the library and look for the copy so i was wondering if there are free copies avaliable online? i cant find any but im hoping someone may have a copy saved somewhere that you could email me or something.
