How quickly is Barnes and Noble building their ebook library?

Posted Thursday, April 22, 2010 by admin

I want hard facts, if possible. I want to buy a Nook, but there are NO books compared to the Amazon Kindle. How quickly will they get new books…(new releases AND old (2007 and below) books)?

Thanks!

e-books are available from several other sources aside from B&N’s e-book library. Just like any other device with a usb cable that you can synch to your laptop, you can open files and add information yourself. Barnes and Noble makes it super easy to download directly and instantly from your reader’s wifi connection, but of course they would – they want you to come to them first! I have a Kindle and have used MobiPocket Creator to convert any file format to make it readable on my Kindle. You can get assistance finding e-books, e-journals, and e-resources from your public library or you can use worldcat.org to search online for e-books.

You’re really lucky to have waited for the Nook, since it can read pdf’s as is you actually have way more options than I do with my Kindle! I think I’ll get the iPhone app for my quick pdf needs.
