What is the most efficient way to convert several hundred pages of printed text to an ebook?

Posted Friday, June 4, 2010 by admin

I have a book only available in book form or as a standard manuscript that I would like to republish. I need to convert the text into some kind of computer saved document so I can publish an ebook or make the manuscript re printable. I’m looking for the most efficient way to do that. I do have a scanner.

You might try searching the web for unique phrases from the book, to see if it has already been converted by Google books or something.

    2. The publisher *might* have the book available as an electronic file, which they *might* give you, and it might be more likely if you promise to advertise the print copy.

    3. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software takes images and converts them to text files.
