Do people actually buy ebooks?

I want to start an ebook business much like :
www.fabjobs.com
www.stylecareer.com
Do these websites actually work? Or is it better to get published on paper? Would it be better to just submit my ‘how to’ books to a traditional publisher?

Yes, i should suspect some people do buy ebooks.
Not me. You drop an ebook in the toilet it’s gonna cost more to replace than a paperback.
I have bought a few. Then I discovered that our state library offered free subscriptions to audoboks:
Yes people do buy ebooks.
You need to find a market for your ebook.
Try joining forums, ezines, newsgroups related to your ebook.
Also, By joining ClickBank you will have thousands of affiliates eager and ready to sell your ebook.
I make a very good living writing my ebooks. I market them through a number of sites such as escapeartist.com. They pay me 20% of every book that is sold. I simply emailed them my ebook idea, they emailed back their acceptable format (formats differ from site to site), I finished my outline, fleshed it out, then submitted it to them. In an average month, I earn over $2800.00 which they deposit directly into my checking account by the 12th of each month. There are a lot of good site, but never pay to publish your ebook on any of them. To consider any site, it should be able to give you valid references of their writers, never pay them, they are paying you for content, which they will earn 80% of the sale. But they do the advertising. Do not allow any site to have exclusive rights to publish your ebook. I currently have written 7 ebooks and each one earns an average of $1780.00 each month, just like clockwork. The market is huge and you only need to sell to a tiny percent to earn a lot of money. Good luck.
Ebooks are good way to market writings unsuitable for traditional publishing. Shorter, or narrow interest topics do better than wide ranging books.
We sell ebooks from our own web site and create them for others to sell, as well. If you go with a service, be sure they use industry standard encryption techniques or you may find your book unusable. Many people who will not download an exe file will accept a pdf format.
Yes the online ebook business is HUGE. You can make good money publishing your own ebooks, of course you would probably make even more money if you publish your books in paper as well as in ebook form. You can get resources for ebook publishing at:
