I know it said it has a app for it but can it really do the job? Also I read you can buy book form sony, B&N and ebook,com type place as well as download from your library with the Apple iPod Touch app’s. Again is this true. Sorry so just making sure it does what I need it to do before buying it as a gift. Thank you for any help.

Hi,
I went to the market today and saw many made in china mp4 and mp5 players. They bore the monogram of apple and sony, but the shopkeepers admitted that they were chinese clones. I don’t know why they needed to use the monograms, but the clones beat the original ones by many features. They have built in speakers, built in FM radio, even Ebook reading options and games (tetris, mine sweeper)
Does any one own one? How is it?
And do you have any text files for it containing jokes only?

what do i need to do to be able to read pdf files on the ipod touch. any program i need to install. and where do i drag and drop the pdf files. for that matter how can i read word documents, chm files, or other ebook files like those in pdb format?

I am going on a long car trip and will have no internet connection for my ipod touch. Is an internet connection required to read an ebook?

I’m in the market to buy a PMP, and I’ve narrowed it to the iPod Touch because of the screen size (mainly). I will mainly be using this for music (I have around 20GB), eBook, and Wi-Fi browsing. I have never used tunes, and I’ve never owned a dedicated PMP, let alone an iPod. I have my eye on the 32GB, but I’m not sure whether to get the 2G or 3G. What are the differences? I was going to get a refurbished 2G, is the 3G worth the price difference?
Suggestions for other PMPs are alright as well, if you genuinely think they’re better suited to my uses.
I meant iTunes, sorry about that.

i want to enable disk use so that i can find the “notes” file to put in a ebook but if i enable the disk use it says it will replace my playlists with my itunes library n i dont want that..
