Ebook program

i have a fine collection of pdf ebooks but, some big name publishers,

one thing i dont like is thats some don’t even have simply index systems built in to navigate the daam book..so i have to write the last page number i was on..then flick through the whole book again..

is there some thing i am missing or it just me…i us adobe acrobat

I plan to self-publish a book I have written. Yes, I am aware of the difficulty this involves, and while I can try to get an agent and hopefully sell to a publisher, I prefer to handle all facets of my book personally.
Anyway, the book itself is finished. It is now in an ebook (pdf) format and is ready for release.
Do I still need to incorporate as my own publishing company, or could I do it with only my own name?

I am unable to download this book at all. The website has charged me 15 dollars and I want them shut down. This is the absolutely unnacceptable and I know there is probably little I can do but if anyone could give me any advice as to who I can alert and what can be done it would be greatly appreciated

I purchased the Zune Ebook Creator by Roversoft.

I like the software alot.

I recently bought a new computer and whenever I try to use the software it won’t work on this new computer.

I contacted the publisher he tried to help, but could not resolve it.

I sent him a file, he converted and sent it back to me just fine

Whenever I try to convert the pdf to a jpeg file it says “incorrect pdf file”

I don’t know if it has something to do with the settings on my new computer or what.

Can someone please help me!!

I want to import my book from microsoft publisher and make it flip pages on my web page one person told me to use dreamweaver but could not tell me how to do it in dreamweaver and another person told me to use abobe flash and that person could not tell me how to do it in adobe flash either. please please help me i need knowlegable friends thanks to yahoo i may get some.

What are some popular book publishers, NO ebook stuff, but like ones u can mail into that are not vanity press

I’m ready to start selling an ebook on my web site…my first venture in this area…and the guy for whom I wrote it, the sole owner of its copyright,wants me to watermark it as a protection against theft/piracy.
Is watermarking the correct term?
That’s what he called it.
What do ebook publishers do to cut down on theft (w/o spending an arm and a leg)?
This is all new to me, so I did some research. Is there a low cost way of protecting an ebook…at least partially?
I’ve been ready to go ahead with this venture for months now, and I think he just doesn’t understand that you if you want a guarantee of a 0% theft rate in advance you’re better off not going into business.
Any ideas as to how I should explain it to him?
